Justice M S Joshi

Justice Mohinder Singh Joshi, L.L.B., M.A.- Born, 21-10- 1918. He joined the Judicial Service as Magistrate 1st Class-cum-Sub-Judge 2nd Class in October, 1947. He worked as Deputy Registrar of the Pepsu High Court from May, 1949 to May, 1953. In December, 1958 he was appointed Sub-Judge 1st Class, Delhi, and in August, 1960 as Judge of the Small Causes Court, Delhi with enhanced appellate powers. He was appointed Additional District and Sessions Judge in April, 1964 and was on deputation to the Ministry of Law, as member of the official Language (Legislative) commission from October, 1968 to June, 1971. He as confirmed as District and Sessions Judge in the punjab Superior Judicial Service on the 11th May, 1970 and was permanently absorbed in the Delhi Higher Judicial Service in the selection grade with effect from 17th May, 1971. He had been working as Registrar of the Delhi High Court since 8th June, 1971 when he was appointed as Additional Judge for a period of two years with effect from 8-12-74. Appointed Permanent Judge on 17-12-76(A.N.). Retired on 21-10-1980.
