Justice Rajendra Nath Aggarwal, B.A., LL.B - Born on 21st August 1925. Did Matriculation privately from the Punjab University, Lahore; Govt. College, Lahore; Law College, Lahore and Simla. Enrolled as an Advocate of the East Punjab High Court at Simla on 19.4.1951. Practised at Simla and Chandigarh. Did civil and criminal work while at Bar. Was appointed as Distt. & Sessions Judge from the Bar in Sept. 1963. Worked as Addl. Distt. & Sessions Judge at Gurdaspur, Amritsar and at Delhi. Allocated to Himachal Pradesh consequent upon the Reorganisation of Punjab. Worked as Distt. &Sessions Judge, Mahasu, Kinnaur, Simla, Bilaspur, Sirmour. Appointed substantively to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service at its initial constitution w.e.f. 17.5.1971. Worked as Registrar, Delhi High Court from 9.3.1971 - 8.6.1971 and thereafter as Distt. & Sessions Judge, Delhi. Appointed Additional Judge of Delhi High Court for a period of two years from 7.3.1972. Appointed Permanent Judge on 07.07.77. Appointed Chief Justice on 16.08.87. Retired on 21st August, 1987.
