Justice Shankar Balkrishna Wad, M.A. LL.M- Born on 10.4.1930. Passed Advocates' examination of Bar council of Bombay in 1951 and practised as Distt. Court lawyer at Poona from December, 1952 to October, 1956. Enrolled Advocate with Bar Council of Delhi on 26.7.1968 and practised i the Supreme Court since July, 1968. Standing Counsel for the State of Maharashtra from 1970-1976 and Advocate on drafting panel of Union of India 1972-1976. Did teaching work in University of Delhi from 1956-1957 and University College of Law, Nagpur, from 1957 to 1964. Taught students of Administrative Law Course conducted by Indian Law Institute every year since 1965. Awarded Diploma in Legal Research by Indian Law Institute, New Delhi -1961 Associate Research Professor in Indian Law Institute in 1964-65. Junior Law Officer and Under Secretary in the Ministry of Law from November 1965 to July, 1968. Written a number of research papers. Appointed Additional Judge High Court of Delhi w.e.f. 7.3.1979 (AN). Appointed permanent Judge on 7.6.1982.Retired on 10.4.1992.
