Justice Chander Kishan Mahajan, M.A. LL.B. (Gold Medalist in F.E.L.) – Born on 31.5.1943. Enrolled as an Advocate on 15.7.1970 at Chandigarh and shifted to Delhi on 9.1.1972. Practised in Delhi High Court, Supreme Court, Subordinate Courts and other Tribunals in Delhi, apart from High Courts of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and Haryana in Civil, Service and Company matters. Was Standing Counsel for Central Government for 14 years. Elected Joint Secretary of the Delhi High Court Bar Association for two terms. Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on 2.3.1998 for a period of 2 years. Appointed permanent Judge on 05.07.1999. Retired on 31.05.2005. He came from a family of lawyers and Judges – grandfather Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan was the Chief Justice of India and his father Justice D.K.Mahajan was the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
