Justice R L Gupta

Justice Rameshwar Lal Gupta, M.A., LL.B. - born on 15.10.1932. He was enrolled as Pleader in September, 1957 and practiced as such till January 1962 at karnal (Haryana) on civil and criminal side. He joined Judicial Service in January 1962 as a Sub-Judge and worked in Punjab till October 1966. He came to Delhi on deputation on October 1966 as Sub-Judge and was absorbed in Delhi Judicial Service as its initial Constitution in 1971. He went to deputation to Sikkim at Gangtok for two years and reverted to Delhi as Additional District and Sessions Judge from August 1977. He was on deputation as the First member Secretary of Delhi Legal Aid and Advisory Board and worked there from June 1981 to May 1985. He was appointed as Chairman of the Judicial Inquiry in 1981 the Supreme Court to go into the affairs of Nari Niketan, Delhi. He also worked as Secretary to Justice Ranganath Misra commission of Inquiry from June 1985 to October, 1986. Worked as Registrar, Delhi High Court since 18.5.1988. Appointed Judge in Delhi High Court on 27.4.1989. Retired on 15.10.1994.
