ustice Hukum Chand Goel, B.Sc., LL.B. - Born, 15th October, 1927. Practised at District Courts, Ambala from July 1951 to May 1954. joined PCS (Judicial) on 16th June, 1954. Served as a Subordinate judge from 16th June, 1954 to November, 1963, mostly at Delhi. Junior Law Officer, Law Commission of India from November, 1963 to December, 1967. Reverted as Judge Small Cause Court, Delhi in January, 1968, and served later as senior Sub judge and Assistant Sessions Judge, Delhi upto 16th January, 1970. Promoted to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Delhi on 17th January, 1970 and confirmed in May 1971. Served as Judicial Member, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal at Indore and Bombay from March, 1974 to May, 1978. Served as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Delhi from May, 1978 to January, 1980. Promoted to selection grade of Delhi Higher Judicial Service from 8th March, 1979. Served as one-man Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal, Delhi from January, 1980 to November, 1981. Reverted as first Additional District and Sessions Grade, Delhi in November, 1981. Confirmed in the Selection Grade of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service from 1st April, 1982. Appointed Additional Judge, Delhi High Court from 12th August, 1983. Appointed Permanent Judge on 23rd February, 1984. Retired on 15.10.1989.
