Justice Gaurang Kanth

Born on 20th August, 1975 at Patna. Completed his High School from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi in the year 1992, graduation in Bachelor of Arts (History) from Hindu College, University of Delhi in the year 1995, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in the year 1998. He completed his Master of Laws from University of Denver, College of Law, Denver, Colorado, U.S.A in the year 2001.

He was a Central Government Standing Counsel for Delhi High Court and Group ‘B’ Panel Advocate for Supreme Court. He was also a Standing Counsel for Comptroller and Auditor General of India, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, East Delhi Municipal Corporation and Central Information Commission. He also served as counsel for Directorate of Enforcement, National Dope Testing Laboratory, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Employees Provident Fund Organization, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Chandigarh Housing Board, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, etc. 

Appointed as Judge of Delhi High Court on 18.05.2022.

Transferred to High Court of Calcutta as Judge w.e.f 21.07.2023
