Justice Veena Birbal

Born on 01st July, 1952 at Delhi.
*Father Shri Hari Chand Mehta was a practising lawyer in High Court

*Did B.Sc from Miranda House College, Delhi University in 1973.

*Did LL.B from Faculty of Law, Delhi University in 1977.

*Enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Delhi in the year 1978.

*Practised in Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and District Courts Delhi from 1978 to 1992.

*Appointed as Additional District & Sessions Judge in December, 1992 and dealt with Matrimonial cases and Sessions Trials.

*Sent by Delhi High Court on Deputation to Govt. of NCT of Delhi as Secretary (Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs) and worked there from 2003 to 2006.

*Worked as Judge Incharge, Karkardooma Courts from August, 2006 to 28th February, 2007.

*Became District & Sessions Judge, Delhi on 01st March, 2007.

*Elevated as an Additional Judge of Delhi High Court on 31.08.2007.
Retired on 30.06.2014.
