Justice Jagjit Singh, M.A., LL.B. - Born, 13.8.1913. Passed M.A. (English), M.A. (Political Science) and LL.B. from the Punjab University securing First Class First in both the LL.B. and Previous Examination of Law. Started as Sub-Judge on 6.11.1938. Promoted on 4.6.1946 as Distt. & Sessions Judge. For certain period Registrar, High Court at Patiala, Registrar, Judicial Committee, Pepsu, and Legal Remembrancer and Secy. to Govt. Law and Legislative Deptt., Punjab. Promoted to super time Selection Grade for Distt. & Sessions Judge from 21.10.1962. Appointed Judge of Delhi High Court on 4.1.1967 (A.N.). Retired on 13.8.1975.
